In the wake of 9/11, and having been in the military briefly, I have realized firsthand that it is important to take the time to “Remember” those who are no longer with us; but who are, in spirit. We are not as vulnerable as we once thought so many years ago - as many kids often do, believe. Like others around the world, classmates come and they must go; but with incidents like 9/11, we are forever reminded of this horrific day, and as well we should. Thus, this Memorial website is designed to, help; and to share fond memories of those souls, who may or may not, have been forgotten over the years.
While there are so many individuals' that are still missing and sorrowfully unidentified from the fall of the twin towers and on the battlefield, there are many, of us, who have shared similar friendships and relationships with classmates; whether they were High School, Middle School, or even Elementary School, that may, be lost and unidentified as well. As we age, and spread around the world; sadly for many of us, we slowly begin to lose touch over the years.
I designed this virtual memorial website so that current and former, students and faculty members from Parkway High Schools, Middle, and the Elementary Schools, will have a safe haven to “Remember;” and to write about, to add and acknowledge those classmates who are no longer among us, so that everyone has an opportunity to reflect upon our fallen classmates. This Group or blog may help some to heal; and depending on one’s faith, these fallen souls can look down upon us from heaven and see that they have not been forgotten.
I only ask one thing; that everyone, who has comments, shall remain considerate to the friends and family members of the deceased. I will add any student who attended any of the Parkway Schools and a graduation is not a requirement. If they attended Parkway for at least a semester, then I would be happy to add their names.
Thank You.
